Ya I read that on the news probably the worst news I've heard in a while especially since it's the largest water system in Manitoba. I wonder how the hydro dams deal with the mussels

Yeah good point if they ever get real bad I wonder how It would affect the hydro damns, and I imagine one day they will spread from the big lake in to the Nelson rivers etc... Maybe they will clear the algea bloom:)
