Oh i,m no trophey hunter by anymeans.Just luck of the draw. These were past years. This year has been a bust so far.Spent 4 days out and heard a cow and bull one evening from camp. Been way too windy here. Still lots of time. Good luck to everyone.

Wow, you must have shot brothers there. There are only slight differences in those guys there.
Yeah, I was out on the weekend, all I saw were 2 gut piles from other hunters, I want to get one so badly it is just difficult when all you have are the weekends to get one.

I have been hunting as hard as I am able to lately. With my job, I can only get out on the weekends, so I take off from work fri night and get to my area, get up early and hunt Sat all day, then again sunday morning, pack up and head home.
So far nothing to show for it. I did have a major error though yesterday morning. Buddy and I were floating down a creek cow calling and glassing ahead. Well I had scanned an area of thick willows from about 200 yds away with my binos. I didn't see anything, so we kept drifting and I kept scanning further ahead. Well when we get 50 yds away from the willows my buddy says "Moose, Moose!" and all we see is the tail end of a big bull going the other way. We called at him to try to turn him around. In hindsight, I wish we would have not called at him and continued further down. Maybe we could have tied up along the shore and he might have come out again. Or maybe we would have had a shot at him later in the evening, but our calling only sent him crashing away.
Not going out next weekend, family thanksgiving. So, I guess I am done for this year.
